A BILL
To require the Administrator of General Services to display or inscribe
the national motto of the United States on all Federal buildings, and
for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1.
This Act may be cited as the ``In God We Trust Act''.
SEC. 2.
(a) Definition of Public Building.--In this section, the term
``public building'' has the meaning given the term in
section 3301
(a) of title 40, United States Code.

(b) Requirement.--Not later than 1 year after the date of enactment
of this Act, the Administrator of General Services shall inscribe or
display in a place of prominence on every public building the national
motto of the United States, as described in
section 302 of title 36,
