Mr. Gallego (for himself and Mr. Fetterman) introduced the following
bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary

A BILL

To amend title 10, United States Code, to authorize the enlistment of
certain aliens in the Armed Forces, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1.

This Act may be cited as the ``Fight for the American Dream Act''.
SEC. 2.
FORCES.

(a) In General.--
Section 504 (b) (1) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following: `` (D) A person who, at the time of enlistment in an armed force, possesses an employment authorization document issued by U.

force, possesses an employment authorization document issued by
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services under the
requirements of the Department of Homeland Security policy
entitled `Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals'.''.

(b) Clerical Amendments.--

(1) Section heading.--
Section 504 of title 10, United States Code, is amended, in the section heading, by adding at the end the following: ``; citizenship or residency requirements; exceptions''.

SEC. 3.

(a) In General.--Chapter 2 of title III of the Immigration and
Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1421 et seq.) is amended--

follows: ``naturalization through service in the
selected reserve or in active-duty status.'';
