Mr. Hawley introduced the following bill; which was read twice and
referred to the Committee on Finance

A BILL

To repeal the changes to Medicaid State provider tax authority and
State directed payments made by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and
provide increased funding for the rural health transformation program.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1.

This Act may be cited as the ``Protect Medicaid and Rural Hospitals
Act''.
SEC. 2.
Section 71115 of the Act titled ``An Act to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of H.
reconciliation pursuant to title II of H. Con. Res. 14'' (Public Law
119-21) is repealed and title XIX of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C.
1396 et seq.) shall be applied as if such section and the amendments
made by such section had not been enacted.
SEC. 3.

(a) Repeal.--
Section 71116 of the Act titled ``An Act to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of H.
for reconciliation pursuant to title II of H. Con. Res. 14'' (Public
Law 119-21) is repealed and the provisions of such section shall have
no force and effect.

(b) Rescission.--The amounts appropriated under
section 71116 (e) of the Act titled ``An Act to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of H.

(e) of
the Act titled ``An Act to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title
II of H. Con. Res. 14'' (Public Law 119-21) are hereby rescinded.
SEC. 4.
Section 2105 (h) (1) (A) of the Social Security Act (42 U.

semicolon;

(2) in clause
(v) , by striking the period and inserting a
semicolon; and

(3) by adding at the end the following new clauses:

2031.

2032.
``
(viii) $10,000,000,000 for fiscal year
2033.

(ix) $10,000,000,000 for fiscal year
