IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES

July 14, 2025

Mr. Bennet (for himself and Mr. Kelly) introduced the following bill;
which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Armed Services

A BILL

To require the Secretary of Defense to submit a report on security
cooperation with Guyana.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1.

Not later than 270 days after the date of the enactment of this
Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the Committees on Armed
Services of the Senate and the House of Representatives a report that
describes--

(1) the state of United States security cooperation with
Guyana; and

(2) the additional assistance from the United States
necessary to help deter a potential attack by Venezuela on
Guyana.
