A BILL
To reauthorize the Second Chance Act of 2007.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1.
This Act may be cited as the ``Second Chance Reauthorization Act of
2025''.
SEC. 2.
(a) State and Local Reentry Demonstration Projects.--
Section 2976
of title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968
(34 U.
of title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968
(34 U.S.C. 10631) is amended--
(1) in subsection
(b) --
(A) in paragraph
(7) , by striking ``and'' at the
end;
(B) in paragraph
(8) , by striking the period at the
end; and
(C) by adding at the end the following:
``
(9) treating substance use disorders, including by
providing peer recovery services, case management, and access
to overdose education and overdose reversal medications; and
``
(10) providing reentry housing services.''; and
(2) in subsection
(o)
(1) , by striking ``2019 through 2023''
and inserting ``2026 through 2030''.
(b) Grants for Family-Based Substance Abuse Treatment.--
