Mrs. Blackburn introduced the following bill; which was read twice and
referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

A BILL

To amend title 18, United States Code, to improve the Federal
carjacking statute.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1.

This Act may be cited as the ``Federal Carjacking Enforcement
Act''.
SEC. 2.
Section 2119 of title 18, United States Code, is amended-- (1) in the matter preceding paragraph (1) , by striking ``, with the intent to cause death or serious bodily harm'' and inserting ``knowingly''; and (2) in paragraph (3) , by striking ``if death results,'' and inserting ``if the motor vehicle is taken with the intent to cause death or serious bodily harm, and death results,''.
