IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
September 16, 2025
Mr. Morelle (for himself, Ms. Sewell, Mrs. Torres of California, and
Ms. Johnson of Texas) submitted the following resolution; which was
referred to the Committee on House Administration
_______________________________________________________________________
RESOLUTION
Supporting the recognition of September 16, 2025, as ``National Voter
Registration Day''.
Whereas September 16th would be an appropriate day to establish National Voter
Registration Day: Now, therefore, be it
Resolved, That the House of Representatives--
(1) supports the designation of ``National Voter
Registration Day''; and
(2) encourages each voting-eligible citizen of the United
States to--
(A) register to vote in his or her respective
jurisdiction;
(B) confirm with their appropriate election
official that his or her name, address, and other
personal identifying information on record is current;
and
(C) fulfill his or her civic duty by voting on
election day if he or she would like to do so.
