Mr. Deluzio (for himself and Mr. Garbarino) introduced the following
bill; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

A BILL

To increase the Federal share of the Patrick Leahy Bulletproof Vest
Partnership Grant Program.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1.

This Act may be cited as the ``Bipartisan Bulletproof Vest
Partnership Program Expansion Act''.
SEC. 2.
Section 2501 of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (34 U.
1968 (34 U.S.C. 10531) is amended--

(1) in subsection

(f)

(1) --
(A) in subparagraph
(A) , by striking ``50 percent''
and inserting ``60 percent''; and
(B) in subparagraph
(B) , by striking ``50 percent''
and inserting ``60 percent''; and

(2) by striking subsection

(h) and inserting the following:
``

(h) Authorization of Appropriations.--There is authorized to be
appropriated $60,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2026 through 2030 to
carry out this part.''.
