introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on
Financial Services, and in addition to the Committee on Oversight and

A BILL

To prohibit the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the
Department of Health and Human Services from disclosing Medicaid data
for law enforcement purposes related to immigration, and for other
purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1.

This Act may be cited as the ``Limiting ICE's Nationwide
Encroachment Act'' or the ``LINE Act''.
SEC. 2.

Notwithstanding
section 552a of title 5, United States Code, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Department of Health and Human Services may not disclose the individually identifiable health information (as defined in
