United States of America in Congress assembled,

Mr. Khanna introduced the following bill; which was referred to the
Committee on Armed Services

A BILL
To expand the contested logistics demonstration and prototyping program
to include commercial additive manufacturing facilities in contested
logistics environments, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1.
Section 842 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal
Year 2024 (Public Law 118-31; 10 U.
Year 2024 (Public Law 118-31; 10 U.S.C. 2341 note) is amended--
(1) in subsection
(b)
(2) --
(A) in subparagraph
(A) , by striking ``and'' at the
end;
(B) by redesignating subparagraph
(B) as
subparagraph
(C) ; and
(C) by inserting after subparagraph
(A) the
following new subparagraph:
``
(B) commercial additive manufacturing facilities
for rapid, distributed production of parts closer to
the point of use; and''; and
(2) in subsection
(g) , by striking ``on the date'' and all
that follows and inserting ``December 31, 2030.''.
