California, Mr. Hoyer, Mr. Ivey, Mr. Krishnamoorthi, Mr. Mfume, Mr.
Min, Mr. Neguse, Ms. Pettersen, Ms. Pingree, Mr. Raskin, Ms. Salinas,
Mr. Stanton, and Mr. Olszewski) introduced the following bill; which
was referred to the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology

A BILL

To amend the Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act of 1974 to require
annual reports to Congress regarding courses and programs offered by
the Academy, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1.

This Act may be cited as the ``National Fire Academy Reporting
Act''.
SEC. 2.
NATIONAL ACADEMY FOR FIRE PREVENTION AND CONTROL.
Section 7 of the Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act of 1974 (15 U.
(15 U.S.C. 2206) is amended--

(1) by redesignating subsection

(n) as subsection

(o) ; and

(2) by inserting after subsection
(m) the following new
subsection:
``

(n) Annual Report.--Not later than November 30 of every year
beginning with November 30 of the first full year that occurs after the
date of the enactment of this subsection, the Administrator shall
submit to Congress a report regarding courses and programs offered by
the Academy during the immediately preceding fiscal year. Each such
report shall include information relating to the following:
``

(1) The total number of fire departments with personnel
who attended a course or program offered by the Academy,
disaggregated by the following:
``
(A) An identification of such fire departments.
``
(B) An identification of the States in which such
fire departments are located.
``

(2) The total number of fire department personnel who
attended a course or program offered by the Academy,
disaggregated by the status of such personnel as either career
or volunteer firefighters.
``

(3) The total number of courses and programs offered by
the Academy.
``

(4) The total number of courses and programs cancelled by
the Academy.
``

(5) The total amount of funds awarded under subsection

(f) , disaggregated as follows:
``
(A) To State fire service training programs.
``
(B) To local fire service training programs.
``

(6) The total amount of funds awarded under subsection
(i) to students attending courses or programs offered by the
Academy.''.
