A BILL
To amend title 11, District of Columbia Official Code, to prohibit the
exclusion of individuals from service on a District of Columbia jury on
account of sexual orientation or gender identity.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1.
This Act may be cited as the ``District of Columbia Local Juror
Non-Discrimination Act of 2025''.
SEC. 2.
ORIENTATION OR GENDER IDENTITY PROHIBITED.
(a) Prohibiting Discrimination.--
(a) Prohibiting Discrimination.--
Section 11-1903, District of
Columbia Official Code, is amended--
(1) by striking ``A citizen'' and inserting ``
(a) A
citizen''; and
(2) by adding at the end the following new subsection:
``
(b) In subsection
(a) , the term `sex'--
``
(1) includes--
``
(A) a sex stereotype;
``
(B) pregnancy, childbirth, or a related medical
condition;
``
(C) sexual orientation (defined as homosexuality,
heterosexuality, or bisexuality) or gender identity;
and
``
(D) sex characteristics, including intersex
traits; and
``
(2) when used with respect to an individual, includes--
``
(A) the sex of another person with whom the
individual is associated or has been associated; and
``
(B) a perception or belief, even if inaccurate,
concerning the sex of the individual.
Columbia Official Code, is amended--
(1) by striking ``A citizen'' and inserting ``
