Ms. Ansari introduced the following bill; which was referred to the
Committee on Foreign Affairs

A BILL

To prohibit the use of Federal funds to rename the Persian Gulf, and
for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1.

This Act may be cited as the ``Persian Gulf Act''.
SEC. 2.

(a) In General.--Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no
Federal funds are authorized to be appropriated or otherwise made
available to rename the Persian Gulf.

(b) References.--No law, map, regulation, document, paper, or other
record of the United States may refer to the Persian Gulf by a
different name without express authorization of Congress.
