<p><strong>Training and Nutrition Stability Act</strong></p><p>This bill excludes specific employment and training program funds from income when determining eligibility for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).</p><p>As background, a household must have an income below a certain level to qualify for SNAP program benefits. A BILL
To amend the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 to exempt workforce
training dollars as income for supplemental nutrition assistance
program beneficiaries.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1.
This Act may be cited as the ``Training and Nutrition Stability
Act''.
SEC. 2.
Section 5 of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (7 U.
amended by striking subsection
(l) .

(d) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (7 U.
