Mr. Biggs of Arizona (for himself, Mr. Ogles, and Mr. Harris of
Maryland) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the
Committee on the Judiciary, and in addition to the Committee on
Homeland Security, for a period to be subsequently determined by the
Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall
within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned

A BILL

To amend the Homeland Security Act of 2002 to prohibit certain
advertising with respect to the Immigration Detention Ombudsman, and
for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1.

This Act may be cited as the ``No Funding for Illegal Migrant
Billboards Act''.
SEC. 2.
IMMIGRATION DETENTION OMBUDSMAN.
Section 405 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 (6 U.
amended by adding at the end the following new subsection:
``

(f) Advertisement.--The Secretary may not obligate or expend any
funds to advertise to the general public, by billboard or otherwise,
the office or functions of the Ombudsman.''.
