Mr. Harder of California (for himself, Mr. Huffman, Mr. Garamendi, Mr.
Thompson of California, and Mr. DeSaulnier) introduced the following
bill; which was referred to the Committee on Transportation and
Infrastructure

A BILL

To prohibit the Corps of Engineers from issuing a permit for the Delta
Conveyance Project.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1.

This Act may be cited as the ``Stop the Delta Tunnel Act''.
SEC. 2.

The Secretary of the Army, acting through the Chief of Engineers,
may not issue a permit under
section 404 of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act (33 U.
Control Act (33 U.S.C. 1344) relating to the Delta Conveyance Project
described in the document published by the Corps of Engineers entitled
``Delta Conveyance Project Draft Environmental Impact Statement'' and
dated December 2022.
